Inkaterra Hacienda Concepción is the second property of the Peruvian eco-hotel chain, Inkaterra, located in the Amazon. The retreat occupies a former rubber and cocoa plantation called Concepción, which once housed a medical post in the 1950s. Inkaterra has meticulously restored the vast 380-hectare area, using locally sourced materials to construct their facilities and minimize environmental impact.
The lush forest encompassing the hacienda acts as a protective barrier between Tambopata National Park and the Madre de Dios River. Consequently, the Inkaterra Hacienda Concepción area remains unspoiled, secluded, and yet within easy reach. A picturesque motorized canoe ride is the only way to reach the lodge. It takes just 25 minutes or 8 kilometers downstream from Puerto Maldonado.
Like all of Inkaterra’s jungle lodges, Hacienda Concepción provides excursions into the untouched rainforest with its resident guides, including trekking, boat rides, bird watching, and more. Furthermore, the holistic Nua spa center guarantees opportunities for relaxation, massages, and meditation.
The Inkaterra Hacienda Concepcion has 25 self-contained bungalows, each fitted with either two single or king-size beds, mosquito nets, and curtains. The hotel provides 100% cotton sheets, two hypoallergenic pillows per guest, hypoallergenic duvets, cotton bathrobes, hot water, and toiletries infused with natural essences. Also, all cabins offer views of either the forest or the oxbow lake.
