The Delfin I is a cruise with a minimum of the suites to assure elegance and comfort on board to its exclusive passengers. The cruise has 4 large luxury suites with panoramic terraces, two of which have private jacuzzis to ensure total comfort.
A cruise that combines comfort and grace in each space, with large suites that allow panoramic views of the Amazon River and relaxation in its private hydromassage pools. Well, the Delfin I cruise offers you all these in an exclusive ambient and the best service onboard.
The Delfin I was designed to provide privacy and comfort to each passenger. That is why it prioritizes comfort in each of its 4 suites. However, its shared spaces such as its dining room, observation deck by day, and bar do not lose the charm of the suites and are staffed by first-class personnel.
The restaurant onboard Delfin I combines the best contemporary dishes made of local Amazon ingredients, experienced chefs, and a 5-fork service. Modern cuisine presents the most delicious dishes of Peruvian gastronomy, international and wonderful innovations with local ingredients and international cooking techniques. In addition, the restaurant is cozy, and well-illuminated and has a panoramic window to appreciate the beautiful Amazon world while you enjoy the best of Peruvian and world gastronomy.
The observation deck by day is located on the upper deck of the cruise. It has comfortable sofas, a glass coffee table, luxurious lamps, a mini collection of plants, and an extensive sunshade. The best of all is that this open-air lobby is next to the Bar. So you can enjoy spectacular views of the Amazon River and its fauna while you enjoy a Pisco Sour or your favorite drink. The observation deck is open during the day and the night, too!
The cruise bar has a great variety of drinks like wines, whiskies, rum, the Peruvian national drink Pisco, and much more. With its experienced barman, you can ask for your favorite drink and enjoy it while appreciating the nature surrounding you in the observation deck.
The panoramic terraces are characteristics of the 4 suites in the Delfin I. Each one has 320 square feet and great views of the Amazon world, as well as loungers and charming coffee tables.
Only the Deluxe Master Suites have a cool water whirlpool close to their panoramic terraces. Making the Delfin I the only cruise ship in the Amazon to offer this functionality. Imagine enjoying a relaxing Jacuzzi in the Amazonian heat, with a spectacular view of the jungle and a drink at hand.
The Delfin I don’t have rooms, on the contrary, it has suites and there are 4. Each suite is large, spacious, comfortable, and has a private bathroom. Of course, the suites are divided into two types, the Deluxe Master Suites and the Master Suites.
The Deluxe Master Suites are 2 and are located in the low deck. Each one of these elegant and contemporary suites is 360 feet square with a luxury bed of fine Peruvian cotton bed linen, nightstands with reading lamps, safety boxes, a panoramic terrace of 320 feet square, and a cool water whirlpool close to the terrace with spectacular views of Amazon. Its private bathroom has a large mirror on the dressing table, organic toiletries, and hair dries. The room service is operative even at night and has daily maid service.
The Delfin I has 2 Master Suites located on the main deck. Each suite has 340 square feet with a private terrace of 320 square feet and floor-to-ceiling windows. Of course, these don’t have jacuzzis but have the same services and decorations as the Deluxe Master Suites. These are private bathrooms, organic toiletries, a large mirror on the dressing table, hair dries, and large and comfortable beds: besides nightstands with reading lamps.
The cuisine of Delfin I reflects the heritage of various foreign influences on Peruvian cuisine, along with local Amazonian ingredients of the highest quality.
In this way, it presents tasty dishes with a fusion of modern and unique flavors and colors. All this is accompanied by the sophistication, service, and decoration of a 5-star restaurant on board.
The Canopy is an exclusive activity for the passengers of the Delfin I cruise. You will be able to walk more than 25 meters high, more than 500 meters long in the canopy, observing wildlife and birds that only live in the treetops and are difficult to see on land. Check out why this canopy is ranked as one of the longest in the world! In addition, this excursion does not require any previous experience or knowledge.
Peru has around 20% of the total of world bird species (1500 bird species), and many of them live in its Amazon. That is why the Birdwatching guided by an expert local guide with many years of experience identifying birds through the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve is inevitable in the activities of Delfin I. Of course, the experience is developed at dawn, because this time the birds are more active.
The Pink River Dolphin is maybe the criature more mysterious and fantastic of the Amazon River. They live in the freshwater rivers of the Amazon part located in Iquitos, the northernmost Peruvian city. They are relatives of the common sea dolphins, fo this reason they are friendly, very intelligent, and social with humans. If you are lucky, they can playfully swim alongside your kayak or raft. Of course, a photo of these animals will be the icing on the cake of any Amazon journey.
The Upper Amazon, along with its streams and lagoons, offers a unique opportunity to practice responsible fishing. The Delfin cruises execute a strict catch and release practice of the species to be fished such as the Amazonian catfish, the peacock bass, or the Paiche.
The river kayaking activity is an excellent opportunity to navigate on your own through the calm tributaries, streams, and lagoons of the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, without scaring away the local fauna. You can even get in direct contact with the species that live there. The Native 16° River Kayaks are specialized to navigate silently through river waters, they are available in all Delfin cruises and support up to 2 people.
Paddleboarding assures direct contact of your feet with the calm waters of Pacaya Samiria National Reserve river, creeks, and lagoons. Over a paddleboard slide slowly close to the shores and discover the amazing flora and fauna of the area, without disturbing the tranquility of the place. Of course, you will always be monitored by the expert guides of the Delfin I cruise.
The walks through the lush jungle are usually very early in the morning or during the dawn because the wildlife is more active and abundant during these hours. Moreover, the walks in Fundo Casual will show you the best of the deep jungle. In addition, a local native assistant will accompany us on some excursions to bring us closer to different types of frogs, insects, snakes along others and can appreciate better them. The best of all is that is a soft activity and the cruise will provide you with rubber boots and rain ponchos for the untimely rains of the jungle.
If the wildlife of the jungle is active in the early mornings, the other large part is active at night. The Delfín I cruise offers night walks guided by its expert guides to observe the famous black caimans, frogs, bats, and other nocturnal creatures. This activity, accompanied by the hypnotic sounds of the jungle and the starry sky, will make your time in the Peruvian Amazon unforgettable.
