About Aqua Mare, Luxury Yacht

Aqua Mare, the first real superyacht to visit the Galapagos Islands, creates a precedent for the most upscale cruising experience possible in the Galapagos with her opulent cabins and social areas. With only eight passengers per knowledgeable naturalist guide—the best guest-to-guide ratio in the Galapagos islands—guests may be guaranteed an incredibly engaging and unique private Galapagos cruise experience.

This 50-meter superyacht was conceptualized by the acclaimed Italian megayacht shipyard company Costruzioni e Riparazioni (CRN). In addition, her interiors and decorations were designed by famed Italian yacht designer Francois Zuretti. Seven elegant suites, an exclusive panoramic salon, a spacious sun deck, a modern open-air dining area, a luxurious Jacuzzi with sun loungers, and a beach club complete this exclusive experience aboard Aqua Marie through the wonderful Galapagos islands.
The Aqua Mare has 14 cabin crew and 2 naturalist guides. In addition, the yacht accommodates 16 guests, having a more personalized crew-guest ratio. This guarantees a more personalized and exclusive service.

  • Facilities

Aqua Marie features extravagant indoor and outdoor social spaces. Its rooms have elegant, sophisticated, and contemporary finishes, with soft carpets and luxurious walnut-paneled walls. In addition, each space features sumptuous textiles and carefully selected objets d’art. Not to mention her first-class and modern equipment. The yacht was designed and built in 1998. And refitted in 2021 with the most luxurious decorations and the most modern equipment.

Our Beach Club is on the Lower Deck, at the rear of the yacht, at sea level. This quaint and sophisticated salon has comfortable and soft furniture, a coffee table, a small library, and a screen that gives access to our platform, where most of our activities such as swimming, diving, and snorkeling, among others, begin.

    Rooms

When refurbished in 2021, the Aqua Mare will have 30% more volume than most yachts. That is why it is a superyacht with 7 large suites specially designed by the famous Italian yacht designer Francois Zuretti. In addition, the suites feature selected prints from Wallace’s and Darwin’s era of exploration, which refers to the dramatic volcanic landscapes of the Galapagos Islands.

Every Aqua Mare suite has a premium king-sized bed or twin bed. In addition, these have wall-to-wall carpeting. The interior is well-decorated in a British and Italian style. Lacquered cedar wood covers its walls with a large vanity and cushioned stool. The lighting is warm and subdued, with a plush sofa seating area. As if that were not enough, each suite has a fully air-conditioned, electronic safe and spacious closet area. In other words, Aqua Mare has 5-star suites sailing between the Galapagos Islands!

    The Cuisine

Pedro Miguel Schiaffino, an award-winning Peruvian chef, offers a gastronomic expedition that highlights the astonishing variety of regional products in Ecuador. The best ingredients are sourced with an emphasis on ethical sustainability and support for regional farmers, fishermen, and suppliers in keeping with the spirit of Galapagos conservation. In addition, the kitchen offers vegetarian and gluten-free options.

Chef Schiaffino highlights and blends Peruvian seasoning with Japanese cooking techniques in Aqua Mare’s food, which includes upscale delicacies such as shrimp ceviche, grilled plantains, raw tuna, and potato Llapingachos.

    Experiences

On an Aqua Mare cruise itinerary, every day is an opportunity to explore a new island and discover its unique natural riches through the different activities that Aqua Mare has prepared for its guests.

Hiking routes allow visitors to explore the Galapagos’ deepest zones and see rare species. The knowledgeable guides at Aqua Mare are quite knowledgeable about the local environment, wildlife, and vegetation. Our two specialist Galapagos nature guides provide fascinating, enjoyable, and extremely instructive trips in the Archipelago. They will impart important information about the geology, history, and fauna of the islands, whether they are strenuous hikes or leisurely walks on the beach.
