The Delfin III is the largest cruise ship in the fleet with capacity for 44 passengers. Its 22 suites are perfectly distributed in its three levels, and share space with a sun deck, a gym, a boutique store, a lounge, a dining room, and even a rainforest spa.
The Delfin III is a blend of spaciousness, comfort, and functionality. Its spacious suites with breathtaking views of the Amazon River, comfortable beds, and private toilets will be the perfect hub for your unforgettable experience in the Peruvian Amazon. Not to mention the gym, spa, lounge bar, and observation deck.
Imagine having top-of-the-line services such as a functional gym, a spa with soft oils and aromas from Amazonian plants, or an outdoor jacuzzi in the middle of virgin jungle, without altering the natural ecosystem of the place. Well, the Delfin III offers these and more amenities that we detail below.
The lounge is equipped with comfortable and overstuffed armchairs, charming coffee tables, enchanting plant decorations, and large windows on both sides with amazing views of Amazon. Best of all, it’s right next to the bar. So you can order a drink and enjoy a conversation with the other crew members of the Delfin III.
The dining room of the Delfin III offers spaciousness and elegance under vintage lighting at night and natural lighting during the day. Fine cutlery, glasses, and porcelain will be waiting for you ready after each excursion to enjoy the best of Peruvian and international cuisine.
A Spa with natural lighting will assure you the best massages. The area is very well equipped with a massage bed, a foot massage chair, and natural oils made from Amazonian plants. The Spa is, without a doubt, one of the best services on the cruise.
This is a large terrace with sun loungers to enjoy the Amazonian sun. As if this were not enough, an outdoor jacuzzi is located in the center of the area. That is, an area especially intended for relaxation.
The Bar is located on the upper deck of the cruise ship, right at the end of the lounge, and offers an incredible variety of drinks and refreshing beverages, not to mention its presentation drink, which is also Peru’s flagship drink, the Pisco Sour.
The gym is the most complete of the entire fleet. It is located at the top of the cruise ship. It also has a large terrace and mirrors on the sides that allow ventilation and natural light.
The cruise has a boutique store where passengers can purchase jungle-themed souvenirs.
The Delfin III is the largest cruise ship in the Delfin line, with 22 luxurious cabins. There are 9 suites with floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows on the first deck, as well as 2 enormous corner suites overlooking the front of the ship. The second deck contains ten exceptional suites, the largest of which is the owner’s suite. Know them better below!
The Owner’s Suite is located on the second deck of the cruise ship, on the ship’s side, and is the most spacious of all. It has a comfortable king-size bed with Peruvian cotton bedding, personalized climate control, a safe, nightstands with reading lights, and a stocked mini bar. Its private bathroom is complete with a large mirror on the vanity, organic toiletries, and a hairdryer.
Its large floor-to-ceiling windows are 180 degrees and allow a privileged view of the Amazon River. In addition, its occupants have a 30-minute upgrade to massages at the spa and complimentary laundry.
There are 2 Corner Suites and they are located at the front of the first deck. They are the second largest suites after the Owner’s Suite and also have floor-to-ceiling windows that allow 90-degree panoramic views of the Amazon.
They have the same features of the Owner’s Suite and also the same benefits of massage therapy for their guests for 30 minutes and laundry service.
The Upper Suites are located on the second deck, are slightly smaller, and are equipped with King-Size beds. In addition, they have the same features as the Corner Suites with the exception of the nightstands, minibar, reading light, laundry, and massage services for 30 minutes. It also has somewhat smaller floor-to-ceiling windows.
The suites are located on the ship’s first deck and include floor-to-ceiling windows with panoramic views of the surroundings Guests will appreciate the king-size beds made of quality Peruvian cotton, the comfortable sitting places, and the attention to detail. These are smaller than Upper Suites but have the same services.
Delfin III’s cuisine reflects the enormous variety of Peruvian gastronomy, particularly in dishes cooked using Amazon products.
As a result, the foods available onboard Delfin III will be a celebration of distinct flavors and hues. But rest assured, there are also international possibilities. Delfin III’s chefs have many years of experience and use only the best ingredients from the local zone and the Peruvian Amazon.
Treks in the lush jungle are typically conducted very early in the morning or during dawn due to the quantity and heightened activity of wildlife during these hours. The best of the deep jungle can also be viewed on Fundo Casual treks. In addition, a native assistant from the area will accompany us on multiple expeditions so that we may have a better understanding of various frogs, insects, and snakes, among other fantastic animals. The best aspect is that it’s a relaxing activity, and the boat will provide you with rain ponchos and rubber boots in case the jungle rains suddenly.
The Pink River Dolphin is one of the most amazing and mysterious creatures discovered in the Amazon River. They can be found in the freshwater rivers of the Amazon region in the northernmost Peruvian city of Iquitos. Because they are related to common sea dolphins, they are gregarious, extremely intelligent, and friendly with humans. If you’re lucky, they’ll swim alongside your raft or kayak. Of course, a photograph of these species would be the cherry on top of any vacation to the Amazon.
Because of its lagoons and streams, the Upper Amazon offers a unique opportunity for responsible fishing. When fishing for species like Paiche, Peacock Bass, and Amazonian catfish, Delfin Cruises strictly practices protocols of catch and release.
River kayaking is an excellent method to freely explore the calm tributaries, streams, and lagoons of the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve without disturbing the indigenous fauna. Direct interaction with native species is also feasible. These special Kayaks, which can accommodate up to two people, are available on all Delfin cruises. They are specifically built for silent river navigation.
Peru is home to around 20% of the world’s 1,500 bird species, with the Amazon holding a substantial population of these species. As a result, birdwatching with a qualified local guide who has years of experience identifying birds in the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve is a required component of Delfin III’s activities. The feeling is organically formed during this moment because the birds are more active around dawn.
Your tour includes a visit to the River Mammal Rescue and Rehabilitation Center (ACOBIA) as well as feeding manatees and learning about these peaceful animals and their status as an endangered species. The facility also cares for other creatures who have been rescued from capture or other perilous situations. Among them are monkeys, river otters, and other wildlife. Throughout the year, a small group of dedicated volunteers works tirelessly to ensure that their activities are sustained. We kindly invite you to make any form of contribution to this organization and learning center.
Even though it is most active in the early morning, a major amount of the jungle’s species is active at night. On the Delfin III cruise, experienced guides provide night treks where passengers may encounter nocturnal wildlife such as bats, frogs, and black caimans. This journey will leave you with unforgettable memories of your stay in the Peruvian Amazon, as well as the hypnotic sounds of the jungle and the starry sky.
