About Origin, Theory & Evolve

Three luxurious eco-sustainable vessels pay tribute to Charles Darwin’s evolutionary concepts: Origin, Theory, and Evolve. These deluxe cruises are like 5-star hotels, navigating among the Galapagos islands. They’re comfortable, sophisticated, and stylish. Therefore, they’re worthy of belonging to the exclusive worldwide association of hotels, restaurants, and chefs with the highest quality of tourist services called “Relais & Châteaux”.

These three modern vessels are similar and 30% more efficient than their predecessors. In the same way, all of them develop 7-day tour programs in the Galapagos, causing a lower volume of tourism on the mainland. As if that were not enough, they have a waste recycling facility in the Galapagos. In this way, they reduce their carbon footprint and contribute to the conservation of the Galapagos environment.
Each vessel has 13 crew members, including the captain and concierge, and can accommodate up to 20 guests each.

The Origin, Theory, and Evolve vessels are characterized by sophisticated design, luxury facilities, and environmental sustainability. They share the same design and are made of four decks: the Finch Deck, The Beagle Deck, The Darwing Deck, and the Sun Deck. Each one hosts awesome facilities and services, which we explain below.

Each vessel has a comfortable and luxurious main lounge on the drawing deck, which is ideal for pleasant meetings, relaxation, and presentations by the captain or the naturalist guides.

    Rooms

Each vessel, the Origin, the Theory, and the Evolve, has 10 stylish staterooms. They feature sophisticated, modern, and luxurious decor, private bathrooms, and large windows for unique views of the Galapagos Islands and the Equatorial Sea. In addition, their armchairs are lined with top-quality fabrics, and the bed linens and towels are pure cotton. Housekeeping cleans each stateroom three times per day.

Each vessel has 10 stylish staterooms beautifully decorated. These have 2 individual beds that can be converted into a king-size bed. The bed linen and the armchair that accompanies the environment are made of the highest quality cotton. In addition, the pillows are soft and viscoelastic. The staterooms also have large windows to take advantage of the amazing views of the sea and the Galapagos Islands.

Moreover, each room has ample storage space and customized temperature control. Finally, each stateroom has a vanity corner with a soft stool, a well-lit mirror, a TV with Apple TV installed, a universal docking station, a safe, and a coffee area with an espresso machine and a tea maker.

    The Cuisine

Here in the kitchen is where the magic happens. There, using only the freshest, best-quality, locally sourced ingredients. The skilled chefs at the Origin, the Theory and the Evolve create the most delectable and varied cuisine.

Meals aboard the three vessels are made with the highest quality, fresh, seasonal, and local Galapagos ingredients. As if that were not enough, experienced chefs prepare breakfast and lunch buffet style. Dinner is served a la carte and consists of 4 courses. Of course, lunches are served at the open-air Sundeck rooftop tables. In addition, twice during the visit program, delicious rooftop grills are developed.

Furthermore, the kitchen offers vegetarian and vegan options for reservations made in advance.

    Experiences

The luxury experiences on the three vessels are really exclusive. These are developed twice a day, in the morning and afternoons. At all times, you’ll be accompanied by your naturalist guide, and aquatic activities are optional.

A trip to the Galapagos Islands involves more than just sailing among amazing marine life; it also involves getting lost on one of the islands and embarking on a spectacular hike. Hiking will take place amidst amazing endemic plants and animals. The two naturalist guide will share with you the fascinating tales of the indigenous species that call those islands home, as well as the islands’ natural formation.
